Shoney’s had one of the best strawberry pies I have ever eaten. I was given this recipe by a family friend several years ago. She used to make this at all the gatherings we had, and it was wonderful. Especially since our local restaurant here had closed down and we couldn’t get it anymore. (Not Sponsored) You will need the following ingredients:

Precook the pie crust according to directions. Making sure to poke a few holes in the crust to keep it from bubbling up in the oven. Let the pie crust cool completely.

When the pie crust has cooked and cooled down, place the sliced strawberries in the bottom of the cooled crust. Pile them as high as you can, as this is how the pie is meant to be.

Pour the jello mixture over the strawberries and then cover this with plastic wrap and place this in the refrigerator to cool and set up.

Take out of the refrigerator and serve with homemade whipped cream on top. Enjoy!
Note: This pie could be made using a graham cracker crust and you would not have to cook the crust ahead of time.
This pie was always served at a church gathering that I used to attend when I was a kid and it was one of the first pies gone.
