This chicken philly cheesesteak sandwich is a family favorite around here and it is so easy to make. You will need the following ingredients:

Season the chicken breast strips with salt, pepper and the longhorn seasoning. Add the seasoned chicken to the oil and cook the chicken for about 7 minutes, stirring often.

Stir in the onions and peppers and continue cooking until the chicken has cooked through and the vegetables are as done as you prefer.
Preheat the broiler in the oven.
Slice open the buns and add some cheese to the bottom of the bun then fill it up with the philly chicken and vegetable mixture and add another piece of cheese on the top.

Continue doing this until all the chicken cheesesteak mixture has been used and then place the sandwiches in the oven and broil until the cheese melts. Tip: I use a square baking pan to do this step as it keeps the sandwiches in place.

Remove the sandwiches from the oven and serve. Enjoy!
Note: You can add any cheese you like and you could also add some thin sliced mushrooms to the vegetables.
I like to serve these chicken philly cheesesteaks with a side of steak sauce and some lettuce and tomatoes. Some homemade fries or chips are a great addition too.
