Have you ever wondered why the ground beef we make at home does not have the same taste or texture as the beef we are served at the restaurant? I truly think it is because it is cooked or steamed in a pressure cooker, so I am gonna tell you how to get that texture and taste at home. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:
1 lb of ground beef
1/2 on an onion, diced finely
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced finely
1 roma tomato, diced into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
salt and pepper to taste
Start by adding a cup of water to the pressure cooker or instant pot and then add the ground beef and use a spoon or a meat masher to make it into smaller pieces.

Then add the tomatoes, onions, jalapeno, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder and cumin and stir this into the ground beef.

Pressure cook on high for 10 minutes and let the steam release naturally. Open the lid and break the meat apart and you can serve it or place the lid back on and let the beef stay warm until you are ready to serve it. Drain the grease and the water from the beef.

Place the drained beef in a bowl and serve. Refrigerate any leftovers. Enjoy!

Note: You will need to use a 80/20 or 85/15 for the best taste and texture. You can leave the jalapeno out or add bell peppers instead.
I like to serve this on tacos, burritos, tostidas, and nachos. It is the closest my family has found to that restaurant taste.
