Honey Pecan Cream Cheese

I love making my own cream cheese spreads for my family to enjoy on toasted bagels. This is a simple recipe to make, and it tastes so much better than the store bought. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

8 cream cheese, softened to room temperature

3 tablespoons of honey

1/4 cup of chopped pecans

Place the cream cheese in a small container and add the chopped pecans and the honey and stir until it is mixed well together. Tip: You can use a hand mixer to mix this but I use a spoon and just keep stirring it until it is smooth and creamy. Enjoy!

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and eat them within 3 – 4 days. You can make a half of a recipe of this if you do not need the whole recipe.

Note: You can use walnuts instead of the pecans in this recipe or just leave the nuts out if you are not a fan of them. Brown sugar also works well in place of the honey if you have that instead. I have also used less fat cream cheese to make this recipe and you honestly can not tell a difference.

I like to serve this pecan spread on warm toasted bagels. It is also good on toast, English muffins and many other breakfast items.

To me this pecan honey spread tastes a lot like the restaurant’s but by making this recipe yourself you can save several dollars and you can control the ingredients that go in it.
