Cheesy Stuffed Garlic Bread

This is one of my favorite bread recipes to make when I am cooking an italian meal of some sort. I have also used this recipe with a as side for an easy meal. It really goes with anything from soup to just a simple salad. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

1 loaf of round bread, I used sourdough

4 tablespoons of butter

1 large clove of garlic, minced

1- 2 cups of italian cheese, shredded

1/2 cup of romano cheese, grated

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Place a piece of aluminum foil, large enough to wrap the entire bread loaf with, under the loaf of bread.

Take a bread knife and slice the bread all the way across, but not completely through, about an inch apart then turn the bread and slice it again so that you have about 1 inch squares.

Place the butter and minced garlic in a small saucepan and heat it on the stove until the butter melts but be careful to not let the butter burn. Tip: You could also do this in the microwave.

Take the cheeses and stuff them into the bread making sure to put some in every slice that you made with the knife.

Pour the melted butter over the bread and place it onto a oven safe baking sheet and wrap the bread with the foil.

Bake for 25 minutes then uncover the bread and bake for another 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven. Enjoy!

Note: You can use whatever cheese you like that has a good melting quality. You could also roast the garlic if you prefer that to the original.
