Cheddar Bay Sausage Biscuits

I made some of these biscuits the other day as a side to be served with some homemade soup I made for dinner, and they were so good. I don’t know why I have never made these before because they were so simple to make. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

1 package of cheddar bay biscuit mix

4 oz of colby jack cheese, shredded

3/4 cup of buttermilk

1/2 pound of sausage

4 tablespoons of butter

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl add the biscuit mix, cheddar cheese, sausage and buttermilk and mix this together. I use my hands but you could use a fork to do this step. Just make sure to get all the ingredients evenly mixed together.

Grease a large baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

Spoon the biscuit mixture onto the baking sheet. You can make the biscuits as large or small as you prefer.

Bake the biscuits for 12 – 15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown. You have to adjust the cooking time if you make larger biscuits.

Melt the butter and add the seasoning packet that is included in the baking mix. Whisk this together.

Remove the biscuits from the oven and add the garlic butter mixture over each biscuit. Enjoy!

Note: You can add your favorite cheese to this mixture.

I like to serve these as a side to a soup or as an appetizer for a party. There are many ways to enjoy these biscuits.
