I love making country style ribs with my own rub recipe. You can also add your favorite bbq sauce to the ribs or leave them without. I prefer my ribs without the sauce as I like the bark that is on the outside. This simple recipe is a family favorite. You will need the following ingredients:

2 pounds of country style ribs
1 1/2 teaspoons of paprika
2 teaspoons of salt

1 teaspoon of parsley
1 teaspoon of cajun seasoning
optional: bbq sauce
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.

In a small bowl add the paprika, salt, onion powder, black pepper, garlic powder, parsley, and cajun seasoning and mix this together. Tip: If you have a bbq or cajun spice rub that you prefer you can use it instead on my homemade version.
Rub the spice mixture all over the country ribs, making sure to coat all sides.

Place the seasoned ribs into an oven safe baking dish and bake for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours, or until the ribs are tender and cooked through. If you enjoy bbq sauce on your ribs add this at the last 20 minutes of cooking.

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them sit for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Note: You can leave the cajun seasoning out if you do not like a little spice to your ribs.
I like to serve these ribs with a side of baked beans and potato salad but they will go with many different side dishes.
