I love eating Chinese food but around here where I live you have to make your own as there is not a restaurant around that sells this type of food. This is a simple recipe to make. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:
1/2 pound of boneless chicken breast, cut into small pieces
1/4 cup of onions, diced
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 1/2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of garlic chili sauce
2 teaspoons of cornstarch
1 teaspoon of oil
salt and pepper to taste
optional garnishes: green onions, parsley, sesame seeds
1/2 pound of linguine noodles or chow mein noodles
Cook the noodles according to the package.
Preheat a large skillet to medium high heat. Add in the chicken and cook the chicken until it is almost cooked through.

Add the diced onions and garlic and cook this until the vegetables are soft and the chicken is completely cooked through.
In a small dish add the soy sauce, garlic chili sauce, 1/4 cup of water and the brown sugar and stir this together. Pour this in with the chicken and cook for about 1 minute.
Drain the noodles and add them into the skillet.
In the same small bowl add 2 tablespoons of cold water and 2 teaspoons of cornstarch and stir this together until it is well mixed.

Pour this cornstarch mixture in with the noodles and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. Enjoy!

Note: You can add some chopped parsley for color or use green onions instead of the white onions and add them for garnish instead.
I like to serve these dan dan noodles with a side of steamed broccoli. You can serve them with several other chinese dishes though.
