This is one of my dad’s favorite chili recipes to eat. This recipe can be made with any ground meat, like ground chuck, turkey, or chicken but he enjoys it the most with the ground venison that he harvests and processes each year. You will need the following ingredients:

Venison ChiliPhoto bySheree
Recipe:
1 can of Bush Chili Magic
1 15 oz can of pinto beans
1 pound of ground venison (deer meat)
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon of oil
32 oz jar of tomatoes diced or crushed
Heat a stock pot on medium heat and add the oil and venison and onion together and cook until the meat is browned through. You will need to add the oil if using ground venison as it has almost no fat in it and it will not cook very well without burning. Add the chili magic, pinto beans, and tomatoes and simmer in the stockpot for at least 30 minutes. You could also put this in the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or high 4 hours. Enjoy!
Note: This recipe can be made using the normal chili packet or chili powder but my dad just likes to use this can of chili mac with this recipe as he says it tastes better.
I like to serve this chili with saltine crackers, mexician cornbread, or just some buttermilk cornbread. This recipe is certainly a potluck favorite whether at home or at social gatherings as many of the people want the recipe to make it themselves.
