Simple White Sandwich Bread

I like to make homemade sandwich bread instead of purchasing bread at the store. This recipe is so simple to make, and it is really delicious. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

1 cup of warm water, 110 degree F

4 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast

8 teaspoons of sugar

2 3/4 cups of bread flour

1/2 teaspoon of salt

2 tablespoons of oil ( I use avocado oil)

In a small bowl or measuring cup add the water, sugar, and yeast and let the mixture sit until the yeast becomes foamy on the top.

This will take about 5 minutes. Make sure your water temperature is between 110 -115 degrees F.

Using a medium bowl add the bread flour, salt, and mix until this is combined.

Add the foamy yeast and the oil and mix until this mixture just comes together then use a dough hook to knead this dough for about 5 minutes or you can also knead this by hand.

Rub oil on the dough ball and then cover the dough and let it rise for 15 – 30 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size.

Remove from the bowl and roll this into a log-like form and then place the dough into a greased 5 x 9 inch loaf pan or a bread loaf. Cover with greased plastic wrap and let this sit until the dough has doubled in size. It should be about 1 inch or so above the sides of the pan.

Preheat the oven to 350 F degrees.

Remove the plastic wrap from the top and bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the temperature inside of the bread is 195 F degrees.

Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool completely before cutting into it.

Note: You could double this recipe if you need two loaves. You can also make rolls instead of a loaf of bread.

I like to serve this sandwich bread making fresh sandwiches. It is such a delicious bread recipe.
