This is a chicken tenderloin recipe that I make that my family thinks taste a lot like the grilled chicken tenderloins served at the Cracker Barrel. I have to admit, they are close. You will need the following ingredients to make these:

Recipe:
1 pound of chicken tenders
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 tablespoon of honey
1/2 cup of italian dressing, strained
salt and pepper to taste

Start by mixing the honey, lime, salt and pepper and strained Italian dressing together.
Take the chicken tenderloins and using a mallet flatten them out until they are the same size in thickness.

Add the chicken tenderloins to the marinade mixture and cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
** I use a large non-stick skillet as the honey in this marinade makes your skillet a little sticky.

Preheat your skillet to medium heat and take the chicken tenderloins out of the marinade and place into the skillet and cook until they reach an internal temperature of 165. Turn your chicken tenderloins a few times as this will keep them from getting too dark while they are cooking. This should take about 10 – 12 minutes. Enjoy!

Note: I like to serve this alongside green beans, creamed potatoes, or just a salad.
I like using a traditional or zesty Italian dressing that doesn’t have cheese included in it. You do not have to strain the italian dressing and honestly, sometimes I just don’t take the time to do it. It still tastes the same, it just doesn’t have the spices visible.
